The Capybara is a spectacular animal.  The largest rodent in the world, the capybara boasts a body size of over 4 ft, and a weight of over 130 pounds.  These semi-aquatic creatures hail from South America, namely Paraguay, where their common name was derived, meaning “master of the grasses.” Luckily for man and the rest of the natural world, Capybaras are recognized in the “least concern” category of endangerment according to conservationists.

Why the capybara?

Perhaps the next logical question: why would you name a record label after said beast? Well, it is our proud belief that like the Capybara, we are a rare and perhaps undervalued faction of the musical kingdom, and given the proper introduction, could even find our way into your hearts as we hope the majestic capybara already has.
